Little Lights

Kids Ministry

Sundays at 10:00 AM

Little Lights’ mission is to help families meet Jesus, imitate Jesus, and share Jesus through the Gospel, relationships, and service. We seek to partner with parents in nurturing the spiritual development of each child and encourage them to actively participate in worship, Bible study, fellowship, and ministry opportunities individually and with their children. We want to nurture a child’s relationship with God, volunteers’ relationships with one another and children, and our relationship with families.

During all Sunday gatherings, infants – 5th graders are welcome at Little Lights! We pray children begin to believe and enjoy the Gospel – the good news that God saves sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ – through activity-based, gospel-saturated teaching. This includes Bible stories, music, opportunities to share, and chances to respond to God’s love with faith and belief.

MEET THE KIDS TEAM!

Mckenzie Manley and Katie Kuesel are the Little Lights Kid’s director and coordinator. If you have any questions about the kids ministry please complete the form below.

God Rules

Ask: “Who is in charge at home?”

Explain that because God created everything, He is in charge of everything.
Revelation 4:11

We Sinned

Ask: “Have you ever done something wrong?”

Tell kids that everyone sins or disobeys God. Our sin separated us from God.
Romans 3:23

God Provided

Explain that God is holy and must punish sin. God sent his Son, Jesus, to take the punishment we deserve.
John 3:16

Jesus Gives

Ask: “What is the best gift you’ve ever received?”

Say that Jesus took our punishment for sin by giving His life, and He give us His righteousness. God sees us as if we lived the perfect life Jesus lived. Best gift ever!
2 Corinthians 5:21

We Respond

Explain that everyone has a choice to make.

Ask: “Will you trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord? You can turn away from self and sin and turn to Jesus.”
Romans 10:9-10

HOW AGE IMPACTS WHAT KIDS KNOW ABOUT JESUS?

As kids grow, their understanding of foundational truths grows with them. The concept areas are presented from infancy through high school and reflect levels of understanding that follow how God designed children to learn. Click the icon below to find your child’s age group and learn more.

Join The Team!

We are committed to equipping kids to walk with Jesus for a lifetime. As our ministry continues to grow, we want to invite more volunteers to serve on Sunday once a month in Little Lights and play a role in seeing the next generation of Christ followers raised up! Resources

At Citylight North, we believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in their kids’ lives. We want to come alongside all of our parents to help them as they invest in their children. We have put together some amazing resources to provide our families with parenting and discipleship tools. Click the icon below to access our growing resources library!

Family Sundays

We desire for Sunday gatherings to be multi-generational and value having children in the room! Throughout the year we incorporate what we call a Family Sunday into our Sunday gathering rhythms. On these Sundays, Little Lights classrooms are only offered for infants through age 4. Our hope is that this will encourage families to participate in the gathering together in order to celebrate Jesus, delight in His Word, respond in worship, remember the Lord’s Supper, learn, witness, and pray.

Upcoming Family Sundays

OUR CURRICULUM

Little Lights has decided to utilize Lifeways’ Gospel Project Curriculum. The curriculum was chosen with prayerful consideration of what values we believe it projects to each participant. Therefore, every age group will be learning the same Bible story each week, have different age-appropriate activities, and have the same goal of pointing every story in the Bible back to Jesus and equipping our kids to live gospel-filled lives individually, in community, and on mission!
