City Groups are mid-sized communities where people are transformed by the Gospel, grow as a spiritual family, and serve a specific neighborhood or network.

Citylight North Lincoln is committed to both gathering and scattering as the church. Jesus has called us to make disciples of all nations, and we believe the best way to do this is to scatter throughout the week into City Groups. We value the gathered body that God provides on Sunday mornings but we believe that City Groups provide a space for deeper connection and encourage our pursuit of being ‘families on mission.”

The unifying power of the gospel creates a new community of people. This community is to function as our new family where we lay our lives down for the good of each other. There are no favorites and no outcasts because everyone comes into the family by the grace of Jesus. The gospel-centered community is ordinary in the way it meets the tangible needs of everyday life, but it is also supernatural in that it is only possible through the power of Jesus.
